K.K Medical College & Hospital was established in the year 2024 with the aim to provide quality tertiary care to the community of South Bihar. This region has always lagged behind in healthcare services and caters to a huge population with neighbouring Districts. It is an apex health care institution of national importance created by an Act of Parliament by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the primary objective to develop a centre of excellence in Medical education, academic research and imparting quality health care.
At the outset, I am extremely grateful to the almighty for giving me this opportunity and I will perform to the best of my abilities to take this institute to soaring heights. I will see to it that the Institute fulfils the need and expectations of the public and gives a comprehensive, affordable and acceptable health care to the community.
As the Executive Director of this institute, my primary responsibility is to see that the students here get the best possible education enabling them to become a successful doctor, scholar and researcher. This can be attained following a high standard of medical education going along the lines of other quality health care institutions. We would also like attain self-sufficiency in postgraduate medical education and down the line will initiate super-speciality courses in this Institute. Along with this we also would like to achieve the actual mandate of an Institute like KKMC&H which is to provide quality tertiary care services with the help of eminent consultants in various fields and using the best available medical technology in the world. Lastly equal emphasis also will be laid on academic research including both publications and extramural projects helping the institute make a name for itself in the national perspective.
I strongly believe that I will get all the support from the Faculty members, Administrative staff and Students in achieving my set goals for this Institute and hope that we work hand in hand to achieve the best possible result in all spheres.
