Overview
The Department of Physiology at K.K. Medical College & Hospital is established to help students understand the functioning & mechanisms of human body. As one of the core pre-clinical departments, Physiology forms an essential bridge between basic medical sciences and clinical medicine, enabling students to correlate normal body functions with disease processes.
The department provides a dynamic learning environment for the students through competency-based medical education (CBME).

The Department imparts Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum with emphasis on integrated learning and clinical relevance for 1st Year MBBS students during the foundation phase of medical education.
The curriculum includes general, systemic and cellular medical physiology; with key areas such as cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, endocrine, reproductive, and neurophysiology, along with blood and body fluids, exercise physiology, and environmental physiology etc. The programme also integrates clinical physiology, early clinical exposure, and competency-based learning to help students correlate physiological principles with clinical practice.
